We purchased a Strider for our son in March this year. As soon as he got on, we couldn't get him off! We took him onto 2 fire trails first and he loved trying to keep up with his dad. Than there were a few cycle path dates with his mates. Then in early April he went with his dad to the Mont 24 down in Canberra and entered his first race - the under 5 event. A 400m course. He came last as he was the only one to insist on doing 2 laps! During the 2 days of this event we couldn't get him off his bike despite the dirt, the late hour, the early hour, and the rain! He delighted absolutely everyone with his enthusiasm. We also got a lot of queries about his bike.
So a few more park rides later and we went south for the Easter break and again he was joined to the seat for a week. This time the brakes were on and he got into the skate bowl! Needless to say, you can see how much he loves it. It is also a joy to watch him - to see his balance, the way he handles corners and obstacles and most of all his growing confidence.
My daughter Katherine loves her Strider bike that we gave her for her second birthday. Now at 2 1/2 she is absolutely fearless on it. It's so light I can carry it in one hand should my daughter want to walk for a while. The kids and adults at my 6 year olds school are amazed and amused at such a little toddler zipping about with such ease. Many of the preps and grade 1's comment that they are still on training wheels.
There's nothing like the independance a child has once they are free of training wheels. Even better when you can jump that frustrationg stage all together. My now 4 year old graduated from a balance bike to a regular bike without training wheels at 3 1/2 years of age. But her old balance bike was unsuitable for Katherine due to its weight and height.
I chose the Strider bike after some time researching balance bikes on the internet. The Strider bike was the only one I could find that was light enough and short enough to safely let a 2 year old ride with ease. With the optional brake and longer seat post we purchased, Katherine's Strider bike will grow with her. I'm so glad I found Strider bikes.
Hi,
Just wanted to say a huge thank-you and what a great product you've got. It's pretty rare something is all it claims to be but strider is...and more.
We gave our 2yr old son one for Xmas and needless to say he adores it but it's the effect it's had on our 4.5 yr old girl that's amazed us. She's been stuck on training wheels and started to not even want to ride anymore. After half a day on her brother's new strider she's now ditched the training wheels altogether and is riding her big girl bike unaided. Unbelievable.
We're sharing the news with whoever will listen. Thanks, Julie
Hi Nicole,
A year ago I bought a Strider bike for my son’s 3rd birthday and it was the best purchase I have ever made. Ever!
Our son is a cautious and not very physically confident little fellow, and I made the decision to get him the bike to try to get him to push his boundaries a bit. He was scared to get on it at first which is typical of him, but I held the bike for him and got him to walk with it under him while I held it up. After a couple of goes with me holding it, it suddenly clicked in his head and he was away. Slowly he started to get faster and faster and very soon he was zooming so fast that now I have to really run behind him to keep up, and I’m getting exercise too pushing a pram with his little brother in it! He loves getting on his bike and gets very cross when it rains and we can’t go riding. It’s like he gets into his own little independent space when he rides and he becomes happy and confident.
I knew that the concept of a balance bike was a good one, and just shopped around for the one I felt was the best design. The Strider is without question the best designed, most kid friendly, lightweight but tough balance bike there is. I have had so many people ask me about his bike that there is now a little army of Strider’s at the park we go to! I tell everybody to not even bother looking at anything else.
He is just about to turn 4, and I plan to keep him on it until he turns 5 and will have a bigger bike. I really like that the Strider has optional components like the seat extension, brake and quick release clamp that will no only enable him to keep riding the same bike beyond 2 or 3 years but also challenge him to build on the skills he has already mastered.
Milana, Bondi NSW
Merry Christmas Strider Sports Australia.
Here we are one year on and Milana has now learnt to lift her feet while gliding ! Perfect balance ! This year we are going to add the footbrake so she can learn a new skill - How to brake ! Next year she will be tall and strong enough for a pedal bike and will not need training wheels ! Way to go Strider !
Strider PREbike
I have been looking at pedal-less bikes for a little while now and I was almost ready to buy the Wee ride bike until I came across the Strider PREbike. It's more slightly more expensive but is ergonomically better and the overall design is far superior than the rest of run bikes on the market.
The thing that REALLY sold me was the seat height is very low and positioned further rearward. The wheel base is much longer adding to stability and its simple design.
I am a Fitter and Machinist by trade at an Aerospace company in Melbourne so I can tell a good product when I see it.
I cant wait for my little guy to get his Strider for Christmas.
Sam, City Beach Perth WA
We were the lucky ones who won the Strider Running Bike competition in October 2009. Sam is really good on his strider now, he's 3 in June. He just loves it! Its good for us too because I can walk the dog and he scoots along. Its amazing how much interest he generates. He is just starting to use the brake, which might save his shoes!!
Milana, Feb 2010
We are absolutely thrilled with the purchase of our pink Strider Bike. The moment my daughter Milana saw it under the Christmas Tree she jumped on the bike and started walking with it between her legs. “Bike!, Fun!,” she exclaimed before riding off down the hallway. I was surprised how quickly she learnt to balance and steer the bike. Within a couple of days she began to trust the seat and started moving the bike quickly with her legs. I noticed an immediate boost in her self confidence. Milana loves riding over hills, bumps and through puddles which is her all time favourite. The bikes specially designed wheels allow Milana to explore all different terrains so there is no limit to her adventurous spirit. The light weight design of the frame allows her to manoeuvre the bike easily and independently. It is most definitely a bike that stands out in a crowd. We bring a big smile to many spectators faces when they see how much my daughter is enjoying her Strider. We now need to teach Milana to share her bike with her friends who are all anxiously awaiting their turn!
The Strider™ is an exciting alternative to the "baby bikes" that our son didn't want to ride any longer, such as big wheels and tricycles. It is sturdy, easy to use, and an awesome bike for young kids who can't reach the pedals on a "traditional bike". It is a huge confidence builder for large motor skills. It's also a fun tool for outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy; now we don't have to wait for the kids to be older as with most other types of sports. Our son thinks it's "cool" and tells everyone he can ride a bike!
Both of our children are learning balance, and Avendah, who is older, is gaining needed confidence because she has control. She, too, is now telling her grandparents and friends that she is learning to ride a bike. We wish we would have had a Strider™ for both of our kids when they were two!!

Just wanted to share my Strider™ success story. I have 2 year old twins (Aidan and Jocelyn) and last Spring I saw the Strider videos and knew I had to have them for my kids. I am an avid cyclist and was anxious to get them on two wheels as soon as they were ready. I bought the bikes right away and was excited for the kids to try them out. At first they were not sure what to think and really found it challenging to ride them. Granted they were just over 2 years old. I decided they would ride them when they wanted and left it at that. Meanwhile they continued to ride their trikes for a few months until I showed them the Strider videos on your website. That very day, my son said, "I want to ride my strider bike likes the kids on the video," so off we went. Within a couple days he was starting to get the hang of it. Now just barely 1-2 weeks later, he is flying!! He absolutely loves it. I am surprised how he can manuever it through tall grass, gravel, pavement, and dirt. Apparently the geometry and weight is just right. He also likes popping wheelies. I realized tonight though that I need the brakes because we went for a ride down a little hill and he was cruising and had to stop with his feet. It worked find but would have been easier with the optional brake. Now, my daughter (who loves her trike) is asking to ride her pink Strider™. Life is good! Thanks.

I was walking through the park one day with two friends and their not-quite-three year old son. The child had his Strider™ running bike. The boy got running pretty well along a straight, flat ribbon of concrete bike path. The father was trotting along behind and not quite keeping up. I wondered how a not-quite-three year old could move a bike with no pedals as fast as a grown man could move at a quick trot.
The boy was actually running along with a good portion of his weight supported on the low-friction bike frame. There was enough moisture around that we could see the line of the Strider™ running bike tires and the marks of the little foot prints, more than 6 feet apart. I was amazed!
If you were to say a two-three year old's running stride is approximately 2 feet and his running speed remains the same, then this little boy was moving at three times his running speed!

The Strider™ is amazing! At 2 years, my son took right to it, and it was fun to watch him learn to ride and stride so quickly. I was amazed at how he learned to balance and ride fast in such a short time. At age 3 he learned to ride his pedal bike without training wheels in one day. He currently rides both his bike and Strider™. He especially loves his Strider™ in the woods, at dirt parks, BMX tracks, skate parks, etc. I can go for walks anywhere at a good pace with my son on his Strider™. We both get good exercise and he has a blast! He enjoys riding it alone at home in the fields and woods and he enjoys riding with other kids anywhere! And he loves doing "tricks" on his Strider™.

Although struggling with a bike with training wheels, Tristan could balance the Strider with his feet up the first day !. The Strider™ will make training wheels obsolete. The Strider is super light and a well thought out design. The foot brake teaches him the fundamentals of motorcycle braking. Tristan can practice wheelies, stoppies, jumping and his favorite skid marks. He can do ten times the things he could do on a bicycle and wants to take it everywhere.

The Strider™ is a revolutionary idea. It gets rid of the need for training wheels. It has done all that it says it can do for our children and more; it teaches balance and confidence. It's fun and our sons are learning so much about their little bodies. One is not athletically inclined, yet he loves to ride and learn how to use this bike more than his big wheel or bike with training wheels. That fact alone is really encouraging and speaks volumes. The Strider™ makes family activities fun for everyone; we can go on trails and unpaved bike paths and our boys can keep up with an adult pace with less effort on their part.

This is the best toy-learning tool-you can provide for your children. It fosters their love of being outside sooner than later in their early development and is great exercise. It has replaced the "blankie" for my youngest, Dane. He loves it and we have to take it wherever we go because he will ride it anywhere.

Ethan loves the Strider™, because he can go anywhere with it (not just the sidewalk). We love it because when we go for walks, he rides it and can keep up with us (actually go faster than us!).

The Strider™ is an incredible tool for toddlers. It allows them to learn how to steer and balance a bike without the need for training wheels.
After about five months of riding the Strider™, Alex is now a pro! He cruises along faster than we can keep up with. It is amazing how he has learned to ride before he is even two and half years old. Awesome!
Alex will be years ahead of his peers in development of his gross motor skills and reasoning ability thanks to the Strider™.
The Strider keeps Alex's interest and is also a not-stop learning tool that incorporates physical activity. This has been a huge benefit for us as parents.
